National Water Week is an annual celebration that makes a SPLASH across Australia, inspiring individuals, communities and organisations to build awareness of the value of water. Access to clean water is highly important to our daily lives, and its down to all of us to protect our water environments and resources, and use water wisely.
National Water Week runs from Monday 19 October to Sunday 25 October 2026, with exciting activities planned in your community. This year’s theme for National Water Week is “Water Heroes – Make Every Drop Count” highlighting the importance of saving our precious water.
To celebrate National Water Week, Lower Murray Water are again hosting our popular poster competition. We invite everyone from early learning through primary school to Year 8 to submit a poster. Get creative – draw, paint or design your ideas of a powerful message that is to save water.
