As the irrigation season commences, we remind our customers of the requirements to maintain a positive water allocation account (ABA) balance.

If you are unable to keep your ABA balance positive, it will mean you are contravening of the Water Act 1989 and continued overuse may result in the suspension of supply in accordance with the Rural Customer Charter.

Customers need to ensure that their ABA is in credit before placing water orders in the WaterNow ordering system. Water orders in the future will not be accepted if your ABA is negative.

Water trades in progress when ordering water

For pending water trades made online, via a broker or directly to LMW, they require the presentation of a payment receipt to ensure that we can allow water orders to be processed if we are awaiting proof of a water allocation trade.
