Three new directors have been appointed to the Board of Lower Murray Urban and Rural Water Corporation which provides potable water and irrigation services to the region.
The new directors are Dr Anne-Maree Boland, Paul Thompson, and Adam Christou, who has been the Independent Member of LMW’s Finance and Audit Committee since 2021.
They were among 125 board members appointed recently by Minister for Water Harriet Shing to Victoria’s 18 water corporations, nine Catchment Management Authorities and the Victorian Environmental Water Holder.
They join existing board members Chair Sharyon Peart, Warren Lloyd, Domenic Isola, Michelle Oates and Kate Hughes.
Ms Peart welcomed the new members and thanked outgoing directors – Greg Baker, Max Folie and Svetla Petkova.
“We thank Greg, Max and Svetla for their time on the LMW Board and the valuable contributions that they have made over the past four years.”
“We now look forward to having the newly appointed members providing the knowledge and practices they have gained from their extensive experience in business, environmental and finance arenas.” She said.
