About the role
The Team Leader – Civil Maintenance provides leadership, guidance and decision making for the Civil Maintenance team. The role is responsible for ensuring water, wastewater, irrigation and drainage assets are maintained in a safe, reliable and efficient manner. Working closely with operations, infrastructure planning and service delivery teams, the role provides technical advice, supports asset planning and helps standardise maintenance practices across the organisation
Key responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, technical guidance and safety support to Civil Maintenance teams.
- Lead the team in achieving organisational objectives, including corporate and water plans.
- Plan and oversee maintenance activities across civil infrastructure assets.
- Ensure delivery of safe, compliant and reliable services in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor performance, reporting and service standards across maintenance operations.
- Support asset management, capital works planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate across teams to improve efficiency, systems and work practices.
About you
We’re looking for a capable people leader with strong operational and technical experience in water or wastewater services, along with the following:
- Certificate III in Plumbing, Civil Construction or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in operational or maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of civil or water infrastructure maintenance.
- Experience in asset management, planning and budgeting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to lead teams and drive performance and safety outcomes.
