About the role

The Licensing & Entitlements Officer plays a key role in supporting rural customers across Lower Murray Water by delivering timely, accurate and professional customer service. Working as part of the Rural Services team, the role is responsible for processing complex licensing and entitlement transactions within the Victorian Water Register and internal business systems

This Minister‑delegated role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, assist with service improvements, and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and organisational requirements

    Key responsibilities

    • Deliver quality information and support to customers via phone, email and face‑to‑face interactions
    • Process complex licensing and entitlement transactions using the Victorian Water Register and internal systems
    • Maintain accurate customer records, documentation and reports to meet audit and compliance requirements.
    • Assist in reviewing and improving processes, systems and documentation to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
    • Collaborate with internal teams and provide information to resolve enquiries, complaints and service requests.
    • Prepare reports in line with legislative, statutory and contractual obligations.
    • Build strong working relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
    • Comply with OH&S and environmental protection laws, policies and procedures

    About you

    We’re looking for people who have the following or the enthusiasm to learn:

    • Certificate III in Business Administration, Finance or similar, or significant customer service experience in a medium‑to‑large organisation.
    • Experience reviewing, analysing and interpreting data in a complex and fast‑paced environment.
    • Understanding of the rural water industry and Victorian Water Entitlement Framework (desirable).
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
    • Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proven experience in data management and reporting.
    • Practical experience using GIS and property‑based information systems.
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong time‑management capabilities.
