Apply for a concession
Eligible concession card holders receive a 50 per cent deduction on water and sewerage charges.
To be eligible for a concession on your water bill, you need one of the following:
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Health Care Card
- Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card.
You will automatically receive a 50 per cent deduction on water and sewerage charges up to a yearly maximum of $372.10 for 2025–26. If you are only billed for a single service – for example, water only – you will receive 50 per cent off water charges up to a maximum of $186.05.
We retrospectively credit up to 12 months of deductions for eligible customers.
How to apply
To apply, call us on 1800 808 830 or download the Water and sewerage concession application form from the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing website.
You need to provide your concession card type and number in your application.
We will revalidate your eligibility each quarter with Centrelink, so you don’t have to reapply.
