Tony Alessi is a registered chiropractor and experienced board member with a long-standing commitment to regional health, education, and community development. Since 1988, he has operated private chiropractic practices in New South Wales and Victoria, providing primary care while managing the operational and financial aspects of small business ownership.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chiropractic and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He recently completed his term as a Director on the Board of the Mallee Catchment Management Authority, where he contributed to audit, risk, and land and water advisory committees.
His previous governance roles include board membership with the Mildura Base Public Hospital during its transition to public ownership, as well as advisory positions with Mallee Regional Partnerships, Food Next Door Cooperative, and the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Regional Advisory Council. He has also chaired multiple school councils and founded the Northern Mallee School Council Presidents Group, advocating for improved public education outcomes.
Raised on a vineyard in Mildura and currently a rural water customer, Tony brings a practical understanding of agricultural life and water use to his governance work. His approach is collaborative and community-focused, with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and inclusive decision-making.
Whether in clinical care or public service, Tony remains committed to initiatives that enhance livability, equity, and access to services across North West Victoria.
