Kate is independent Chair, Audit and Risk Management Committee at the Department of Justice and Community Safety, and member of risk and audit committees at the Department of Transport, Australian Prudential Regulation Authority and Comcare.

Kate has considerable executive experience and was formerly the Chief Audit and Risk Officer at RMIT University, Chief Risk Officer, Telstra and Chief Risk Officer at the Australian Wheat Board.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a graduate diploma in applied finance, a graduate diploma in occupational health and safety, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
