Lower Murray Water will be undertaking essential water main replacement works on the eastern side of Pine Avenue between Tenth and Eleventh Streets.

Works will be undertaken during the months of April and May 2024, commencing during the week of 15 – 19 April.

Traffic controls and staged restrictions to parking will be required while works progress. Footpaths and access to all businesses and homes will remain open.

Further updates and notices will be provided throughout the main replacement works as necessary.

The current water main, laid in 1956, has reached the end of its serviceable life. Replacing it now will prevent unplanned leaks and bursts, ensuring a reliable water supply.

The works will be conducted during the first quarter of 2024. Our tentative start date is Monday 15 January 2024. We will strive to complete the works as quickly as possible while ensuring works are carried out to a high standard.

Yes, there will be the need for traffic restrictions at key points of the project, particularly when the new main installation crosses Irymple, Koorlong and Karadoc Avenues, and for short periods when crossing property entrances. Customers will be advised in advance of any disruption to property access.

Sewerage services will not be disrupted during these works. The new line is a duplication of the existing service and is separate to existing connections.
