We are seeking a self-motivated and team-oriented Treatment Plant Operator who has a practical mindset, to operate our treatment plants and identify opportunities for process improvement.

About the role: 

As an LMW Treatment Plant Operator, your primary objective is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of LMW’s water and waste water assets. Based in Swan Hill and servicing the surrounding sites, you will work as part of a passionate and experienced team carrying out routine checks and testing on a range of plant operations while constantly working to improve equipment or processes and troubleshooting on site to resolve issues.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Engaging contribution to a safety-first culture
  • Day to day supervision and contribution to a positive team culture
  • Running various treatment plants as required
  • Working with maintenance teams to ensure breakdowns and planned maintenance works are completed as required
  • Flexibility with availability as overtime and out-of-hours work will be required at times, as will participation on the treatment plant “on call” roster 

About You:

We require a self-motivated, safety conscious person who thrives in a fast-paced team environment. To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience or the enthusiasm to learn:

  • Experience in the water industry or plant operations
  • Good communication and leadership skills 
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a can-do attitude 
  • Understanding of how you work in a safe and effective manner
