Virtual Growers’ Conference a success

Lower Murray Water (LMW) was pleased to host the 2020 Growers’ Conference via Zoom Webinar on Tuesday 20 October.

The third annual event was hosted online in a shorter format to previous years and it was great to have rural customers and stakeholders join us online to hear directly from industry representatives and policy makers, in line with the current restrictions.

As an initiative of LMW’s rural customer advisory committees to provide networking and information sharing opportunities for customers, the Growers’ Conference is an opportunity for local growers to hear directly from industry experts and allow for information sharing to guide decision-making relevant to their irrigation businesses.

Speakers from organisations including the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, Goulburn-Murray Water’s Northern Victoria Resource Manager, Aither and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning presented on a range of topics and issues affecting our region and answered some great questions from our guests.

If you weren’t able to join us, you can view speaker presentations and a recording of the conference on our website here.
