Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Change to office hours and operations.
As part of our response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Lower Murray Water is implementing additional precautions so that we can continue to make sure customers have the support they need while ensuring we deliver our essential water and waste water services.
LMW continues to deliver safe drinking water as well as all other services.
These preparations include separation of work groups and working from home where practical, as well as stringent hygiene to minimise the risk of infection to LMW staff who are crucial to providing essential services to customers.
We have implemented new processes to Fast Track supplier invoice payments. In accordance with the Victorian Government’s Survival and Jobs package to support small businesses through this challenging time, we have implemented a policy to ensure all invoices are paid within 10 days.
We would like to notify customers of the following:
- The Mildura, Swan Hill and Kerang offices closed from 1.00 pm Monday 23 March until further notice.
- Phone calls will continue to be received at any time (on office numbers from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm and after hours on 1800 808 830).
- Please remember if using alternatives to toilet paper such as disposable wipes, paper towels, or other, to dispose of these alternatives into general waste and not down the toilet. These alternatives, although they may physically ‘flush’, do not break down and may clog the sewerage system and increase maintenance requirements (a small amount of tissues is ok in our infrastructure if no access to toilet paper).
We appreciate the huge amount of understanding we have received from customers in our efforts to contribute to a nation-wide approach to minimising the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on communities.
