Sunray Warriors – An Environmental Adventure!
Sunray Warriors offers primary aged students the opportunity to engage in fun, hands-on interactive activities that focus on environmental education.
Students may learn about water conservation, local biodiversity, flora and fauna, native habitats, fish species and their affect on the river, boat safety, campfire safety, the value of wetlands and land management and recreation, just to name a few!
Prior to the event, each student group will be given the name of an endangered Australian animal, bird or reptile in an effort to highlight these species and get their thinking caps on. At the conclusion of the event, teachers will be asked to give feedback and will then be provided with post-event classroom activities.
The event has continued to grow year after year and we are proud to be able to provide this to our community free of charge.
