Accounts for Scheme Contributions
If your property is included in a Water or Sewerage Scheme
you have the option of choosing to pay either in full, or by instalments.
You will reveive a letter explaining the options available to you
and asking you to select how you wish to pay. For most schemes,
payments by installments are made every three months. If you need
to arrange different instalment arrangements you can contact Lower
Murray Water and make an appointment to see our Manager - Financial
Services.
When are the urban water meters
read?
Meters are read four times a year - June,
September, December and March. Accounts for water usage
and water and sewerage tariffs are issued quarterly in
the months of July, October, January and April. Quarterly
Water Usage Accounts for Residential Tenants are issued
at the same time.
When are quarterly bills
due?
You have 28 days from the date the account is issued
in which to pay your account.
Each account states the due date.
Can I pay by EFTPOS?
You can make payments by EFTPOS at any Lower Murray Water Office.
Why can't I pay once a
year like Council rates?
Your water account varies from year to year, and
from quarter to quarter, depending on the amount of water
you use. An annual account cannot easily or accurately
be estimated.
What do I do if I cannot pay my account?
Lower Murray Water has a comprehensive range of options to assist customers
who are experiencing financial difficulties. Please contact your local office
to discuss these options.
