General exemptions

General Exemptions are assessed on an individual basis by a panel appointed by Lower Murray Water.

Over 70 and/or Infirmed exemption

Due to the extension of Daylight Savings time the Lower Murray Water Board has varied the watering times.  Customers who are over the age of 70 or are incapacitated can apply to LMW for a variation in times for watering. Exemption requests will be assessed on a case by case basis.

The watering times for the Over 70 and/or infirmed exemption can only be varied to the following times :

                 8:00am - 10:00am

                              and

                  5:00pm - 7:00pm

          (on your specified watering day)

Building foundation Wetting exemption

An application for exemption shall not be approved unless a professional engineer has been consulted, and has provided specific advice, in writing, for the need and methodology required to undertake the structural wetting process.  A copy of the engineer’s report must be attached to your application.

Water Conservation Plans - Pools

Customers are advised that the filling of new swimming pools is currently not permitted. However, alternative supply water may be used for filling and topping up purposes.
