The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 1982 allows the public the right to request information held by Lower Murray Water and to access documents about their personal affairs and the activities of the Corporation.  It also provides the right to request that incorrect or misleading information held by Lower Murray Water be amended or removed.  Requests under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 may be made in writing to foi@lmw.vic.gov.au.

The current fee for FOI requests in Victoria is $24.40.

Access charges include:

- time spent searching for documents $20 per hour or part of an hour.
- providing copies of documents at 20c per black and white A4 Page.
