ESC DETERMINATION

In June 2008, the Essential Service Commission (ESC) released its final determination on Lower Murray Water’s Water Plan.

In its final determination on the water plan, the ESC approved price increases over the next five years.

Lower Murray Water will spend $68.68 million on capital works for the urban business and $46.32 million for the rural business

over the next five years.

Final submission

The Water Plan Exposure Draft has been prepared by Lower Murray Water (LMW), for the Essential Services Commission (ESC) as part of the requirements for water industry regulation detailed by the Water Industry Regulatory Order (WIRO).

The document details the service outcomes LMW is to provide, strategies to meet the outcomes, operating and capital expenditure required, and implications for revenue and tariffs for the regulatory period of 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2013.

The ESC has made a pricing determination for this regulatory period based on the data provided in this document.
