LMW and FMIT Intergration

Lower Murray Water and FMIT intergration was announced by The Minister for Water on Friday 15th August 2008. While the final decision has been made by the Minister directing LMW to assume the responsibility for administering all functions of the former FMIT, the Corporation will be focusing on providing the same level of irrigation services that customers are used to. 

Our aim is to provide a seamless transition including water supply to customers within the FMIT district so that they can continue to operate and use the water that is available to them. We want to highlight to all customers, and also the wider community, that Lower Murray Water will be looking to provide a high level of service to all our customers be they urban or rural.
