Water Plan 3

2013 to 2018

Water Plan 2013 to 2018

What is the Water Plan

The Water Plan is a five-year planning document that is submitted to the independent economic regulator of the water industry, the Essential Services Commission (ESC), which sets out the strategies, initiatives and revenue required by Lower Murray Water to deliver its water, wastewater, irrigation and drainage services.

Who authorises the Water Plan

The ESC is responsible for the final authorisation of the Water Plan which will determine pricing, tariffs and service levels.

How is the Water Plan Developed

The first draft of the Water Plan will be developed with input from the community through a range of consultation initiatives.

The draft Water Plan will then be ready for review by all interested organisations and individuals.

Will I have an opportunity to provide feedback

As an essential part of this process, LMW will be seeking customer, community and broader stakeholder input into what people would like to see as the services provided in the region in the future.

To gain this feedback LMW will be having varying types of community consultation to ensure we receive a range of views and opinions about water, sewerage, irrigation and drainage issues.

if you require any information or want to provide any feedback on the LMW new draft Water Plan 3 please email wp3@lmw.vic.gov.au
